Should Reservation system in India exist for few more years???

Whether to continue with Reservation system for few more years in India or not is still a debatable question. The Article.15(1) of the Constitution says, “State shall not discriminate any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them”, but on the other side the  Article 15(4) of the Constitution stipulates that is notwithstanding the provision stated above that  the State can make “special provision for the advancement of any socially and educationally backward classes of citizens or for the other people based on their caste!”.

Reservation today is working in the opposite direction to its main objective. . It is being used to uplift one section of the society at the cost of another, which is not fair. Instead of this there should be equal opportunities for all. More clearly, I wanted to say that, if the candidate is capable, he has that caliber, then he should not go for having tag of lower caste to prove his own worth!!

This system today is creating a work force which is not capable of meeting the global requirements and competitions leading to ultimate rise in unemployment in the country. India needs people for growth and development but reservation is adding undeserving candidates as well.   An admission to best educational institutes on the basis of caste certificate is of no worth except having a degree!

The Supreme Court, on 27th July 2011 said, “Reservation is a hard reality, General category students should understand it!” I want to ask supreme coyrt why should a general category student should understand it? I mean where the hell its written that a general category student is having loads of money to pay the huge fees in institutions or even while applying for governement entrance exams??? For e.g., While applying for govt. exams, to apply for it, a general category applicant pays around 4 times more than what the reserved category one is paying(This year to apply for a PSU Bank, Fees were- General category - 500 & Reserved category - 100)!!  Why??
If the Supreme Court wants reservation to exist in India, then it should bring some reforms in the law! That's what I'm asking for!

The law was first introduced in 1950’s, but today, with the advent of time and keeping in mind the intense competition in the world , the law must change to some extent.

The adverse effect of reservation system, if increased to a greater extent can be best explained by the example once given by Mr. Azim Premji (Chairman- WIPRO). He said, “ if the government wants to introduce reservation system in all other fields, then lets first start with Indian Cricket Team.

10% reservation for Muslim. 30% reservation for SC/ST/OBC and according to these rules, cricket should be modified. Boundary circle for SC/ST player should be reduced. The hit shot which is 4 should be considered as 6…and a shot which is 6 should be taken as 8 runs. SC/ST/OBC players scored 60 runs taken as Century. Likewise fast bowler like SHOAIB AKHTAR should not bowl fast for SC/ST/OBC Player. Bowler can bowl maximum speed of 80 km/hr . For SC/ST/OBC delivery above this speed should be made illegal.”Just imagine the game with these rules!!

It’s the need of an hour to have such reform to pace up the development of India.  Its the time to cast away the caste system and move towards the world of equality.!!

Don't you think this system will ruin the quality of education, the standard of India in few years? Don't you think that if this the system, then its a partiality towards other people of the Nation and moreover against the so called "One India,, One people & Equality" concept of our nation??

See, even I'm not completely against the reservation system, what I feel is, If you want Reservations to be there, then provide it to only 'needy' ones and not  to everyone.
